AHA
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. Nearly 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 43,000 individual members come together to form the AHA.

Through their representation and advocacy activities, AHA ensures that members’ perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates, and judicial matters. Their advocacy efforts include the legislative and executive branches and include the legislative and regulatory arenas.

Founded in 1898, the AHA provides education for health care leaders and is a source of information on health care issues and trends.

AHIMA 
The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is the premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals worldwide. Serving 52 affiliated component state associations and more than 101,000 health information professionals, it is recognized as the leading source of “HIM knowledge,” a respected authority for rigorous professional education and training.

Founded in 1928 to improve health record quality, AHIMA has played a leadership role in the effective management of health data and medical records needed to deliver quality healthcare to the public.

AHIOS
The Association of Health Information Outsourcing Services (AHIOS) was created in 1996 to increase awareness of the value of health information management service providers and the importance and complexity of the services they provide.

Since their inception they have worked tirelessly to establish standards of excellence for the release of information (ROI) process in particular, advocated for fair and equitable compensation for ROI services, and created educational and networking opportunities for our members.

HIMSS
HIMSS North America, a business unit within HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), positively transforms health and healthcare through the best use of information technology in the United States and Canada.
