For the first time, Sharecare participated in the release of information (ROI) reporting process conducted by KLAS, a research group that helps healthcare providers make informed technology decisions by reporting accurate, honest and impartial vendor performance data. Today, when KLAS released their report, Release of Information 2021: Differentiating Firms in a High-Satisfaction Market,” Sharecare was cited for highest overall performance among vendors with sufficient report data and highest scores in quality of staff and engagement execution, as shown in the chart, below.

ROI Quality/Accuracy vs. Engagement Execution
This chart is from the March 2021 KLAS report “Release of Information 2021: Differentiating Firms in a High-Satisfaction Market.” Sharecare, Ciox Health, and MRO were the only ROI service providers with statistically adequate client responses. Verisma also participated but had limited data.

Four vendors participated in the 2021 KLAS ROI report, with three vendors having statistically adequate data. Findings in the report included:

  • On a 100-point scale, Sharecare’s reported overall performance score is 90.1.
  • Sharecare’s performance ratings for overall satisfaction and strength of partnership were highest among the three firms with statistically adequate data.
  • Sharecare was rated as having the highest quality of service staff, engagement execution, executive involvement of all participating vendors.
  • Staff quality, training, experience, and retention were cited as important factors for Sharecare’s success.
  • Sharecare was the only participating company with scores that met or exceeded market averages for every component of the KLAS Standard Numerical Indicators, which include metrics in the areas of relationship, operations, services, value and loyalty.
  • 95 percent of Sharecare’s clients say they would hire the company again.

We are proud of – and humbled by – all of these metrics, but perhaps most gratifying was our clients’ recognition of the quality of our staff (see graph, below). High scores in quality and engagement execution are only possible when staff quality is high. Clients interviewed for the KLAS report cited the yearly training undertaken by all Sharecare health information management staff as a key factor in Sharecare ROI quality.

In the KLAS report, a revenue director explained, “Sharecare’s quality of work is excellent. They rarely have any errors, and everything gets out. They take the heat with the patients whenever there are issues with the bills. I really like Sharecare. They are a great group of people, and they are very professional. Sharecare’s turnaround time and professionalism really make them stand out among other vendors. They are a great organization.”
