At Sharecare Health Data Services, we care about the environment and making a difference in the lives of people. In April 2016, we started a partnership with the Eden Reforestation Projects, a 501c3 non-profit organization, to reduce extreme poverty and restore healthy forests by employing villagers in areas in need. Eden’s planting nations include Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, Mozambique, and Kenya.
We are now a Sapling partner. So far, we have processed over half a billion medical record pages, which contributed to the planting of over 226, 364 trees at different locations and has created many jobs for impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration.
We plant approximately 6 trees for every 1 we use. This is based on how many pages of medical records we process on behalf of our clients. Our goal is to reach one billion pages or 250,000 trees planted by 2022 or sooner!
Our mission is to help each person build a longer, better life by enabling health transformation at the individual, organizational, and community level. Join us on this journey and help us plant hope for the future!
