Job Summary

They will be innovative, open to change, and display honesty and integrity in all that they do.  As a key member of the Management team of the HDS Division of Sharecare, Inc. the Director of FP&A will report to the VP Finance and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Strategic Planning Function.

We are looking to fortify the finance team with an operationally and system savvy, pro-active Finance Director who will partner with the VP Finance to implement world class planning and analysis function.  The ideal candidate will have experienced best practices in FP&A as a senior leader in a multi-division high growth company utilizing data driven analysis for forecasting, strategic planning and general business and financial analyses. The candidate will have a proven background experience in effecting organizational transformation, particularly infusing bottom-line focused discipline and a data-driven decision-making mindset in an innovative environment.

As a key member of the decision-making team, the FO&A Director works closely with other senior leaders to drive growth and seek improvements in operational processes.  Ideal candidates will be detailed, organized, reliable, and able to multi-task.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the planning cycle of the company including Budget and forecast development
  • Developing financial operating reports, such as monthly and quarterly P&L, BS and CF and associated variance reporting to budget, forecast or prior time periods
  • Finance policy and procedures development
  • Reviewing and approving customer and partner contracts
  • Developing pricing scenarios and credit models
  • Mentoring and growing team
  • Analyzing business performance data and developing recommendations for improvements in revenue growth or resource allocation
  • Dashboard reporting including on-demand key metrics reporting
  • Business intelligence function development

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting to include increasing levels of responsibility is required as well as at least 3 years of supervisory/management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.  MBA highly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Suite, SQL
  • Power user of Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary for communication with staff and clients including developing and delivering presentation to c-level executives
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience with of Great Plains or other mid and large-scale accounting software
  • Expertise in Adaptive, Cognos or other planning software
  • Expertise in data analytics of business intelligence software highly desired – Tableau, Qlikview, Microstrategy, OBIEE, Power BI, etc.
  • USGAAP knowledge

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. of materials
  • Manual dexterity and strength sufficient enough to enter information via computer keyboard for long periods of time, to write notes and information needed, and to pick up and hold paperwork, supplies and other items
  • Eyesight sufficient to effectively read documents and to accurately view information on a computer monitor
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to effectively communicate
  • Eye/hand coordination, hearing and visual acuity necessary for day to day tasks
