Sustainability Policy

We plant seven trees for every one we use based on how much paper we print

Total planted by Sharecare Health Data Services = 226,364 trees

We are committed to good corporate citizenship which includes:

  • Minimizing our impact on the environment
  • Appropriate use of natural resources
  • Seeking opportunities to contribute to improving our environment
  • Encouraging the replenishment of renewable resources

Key Areas of Focus:

Resource Consumption: We manage our paper consumption by promoting the delivery of medical records via electronic means rather than print and mail.

Resource Replenishment: Our business is paper-intensive so we partner with organizations involved in reforestation projects around the world.

Energy Use: We will include energy efficiency considerations in the operations of all our facilities where practicable. We will utilize web meetings and conference calls instead of travel where this will meet the needs of our clients, suppliers and/or employees.

Waste Generation: We will seek to reduce, reuse or recycle wherever practicable to minimize waste generated by our business.

How we Communicate our Policy:

Employees: We will promote awareness of our environmental position through open communication of our policy and our efforts to be good corporate citizens in this effort.

Clients: We will share our sustainability policy and our key areas of focus with our clients and encourage them to engage in similar practices where appropriate.

All others: We will post our policy on our website and reference it wherever it would be appropriate.

Policy Maintenance:

Adherence to the law: We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the environment in all locations where we conduct business.

Review: We will periodically review this policy and revise it as necessary to ensure that we follow best practices.

Oversight: Our executive team is responsible for determining and approving the Sharecare Health Data Services sustainability policy, its key areas of focus and ensuring that we are in a position to achieve the objectives of the policy. In addition, it is the responsibility of each employee to adhere to this policy and implement the appropriate processes to meet this Commitment to our community.

Sustainability Partner:

One of our sustainability partners is The Eden Projects. This organization reduces extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees.
